How to calculate the AP Nature History score?

College Board has not officially released a scoring formula for the latest AP® Society History. So we have used the scores of previous students and the scoring rubric to create a function that works surprisingly well!

Understanding the Score System:

The AP World History exam is scored on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible score. Each section contributes to your final score:

1. Multiple Choice (MCQ): 55 questions, 1 point each, maximum of 55 points (40% of total score).

2. Short Respond (SAQ): 3 questions, each with 3 parts (A-C), 1 signal per part, maximum of 9 points (20% of total score).

3. Document-Based Question (DBQ): 1 interrogate, worth 8 points (20% of total score).

4. Long Essay (LEQ): 1 question, worth 8 points (20% of total score).
