The trend of nostalgic music festivals is something I can completely get behind! From the same company we have Lovers and Friends which features R&B and Hip Hop, When We Were Young that mainly has pop-punk and Sick New World that mostly features nu-metal, but also has industrial, post punk goth and alternative. Though I admit, it’s a tad unsettling that the music we listened to as teenagers is now “old”. That means that… I’m old.
When I saw When We Were Young 2’s lineup, I got excited because these were the bands I listened to when *I* was young in high school and college. Green Day, Blink 182, The Offspring, Sum 41… That sounded like a good festival to attend! Shortly after that, Sick New Worldwas announced. WHAAATTTT!!! This was way more up my alley! This announcement was even more exciting because three of my all-time favorite bands were playing, plus a bunch of others I liked!We had: Korn, Deftones, Papa Roach, Chevelle, System Of A Down, Filter, Stabbing Westward, Kittie, Flyleaf, Incubus, Hoobastank, Evanescence, POD, Alien Ant Farm, Ville Valo of HIM, Orgy… we *had* Monster Magnet until they dro

What is Sick New World?
Sick Brand-new World is a one-day tune festival that was first held in May at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nev. The music festival debuted in 2023, with a lineup of music artists that cross the genres of strenuous rock, nu-metal, alt-rock, heavy metal, and more. C3 Presents, the company that produces this festival, is also responsible for other popular music festivals like Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees Music Festival and Austin City Limits. While similar to When We Were Fresh, Sick New World focuses more on nu-metal and hard rock music of the late ‘90s.
When Is Sick New World?
Sick Fresh World takes place on Saturday, April 27, with gates opening at 11 a.m. and closing by 12 a.m.

The 2023 Sick New World Music Fest is bound to be one of the most exciting concerts in Las Vegas this summer. This music festival is bringing together some of the most beloved alternative and emo bands from the early 2000s — many of which err on the more aggressive side of these genres — and is guaranteed to be an astonishing time. Although this may be the festival’s debut, it will most likely become an annual event, given its stacked lineup of high-energy performers and how quickly this first event sold out.
What is the Sick Recent World Music Fest?
The Sick Unused World Music Fest is every early 2000s emo kid’s hope music festival. This all-day event will host some of the biggest names from the first stage of the 21st century. Many of us have enjoyed this style of music at one point in our lives (and likely still to this day) — if you say you don’t try to sing both vocalist parts in Evanescence’s smash “Bring Me to Life,” you’re lying.

System of a Down and Slipknot will be headlining the 2024 edition, which takes place this coming Saturday (April 27) at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. They join a mix of classic and modern nu-metal acts, continuing the nu-metal revival which has garnered momentum in the last few years.
