NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Kody Lostroh knows a thing or two about competing in what is often referred to as "the most deadly eight seconds in sports."
The former professional bull rider saw a lot of success during his years competing. In 2009, he was the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) world champion, and in 2024, Lostroh was inducted into the Bull Riding Hall of Fame.
Since his retirement from bull riding, Lostroh has still been involved in the sport, now taking on the role of coach. He is currently the head coach of the Fresh York Mavericks, a team making its debut in the PBR this season.

Despite friend's death, animation goes on for world champion bull rider

Rodeo cowboy Tuff Hedeman spends many nights thinking about life without his best friend. Hedeman, a graduate of Coronado High Educational facility, has a special bond with Lane Frost. Hedeman and Frost were pals, rivals and traveling partners on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit. They were also world champion bull riders.
That was before Frost was killed during a rodeo competition last July in Cheyenne, Wyo. Thrown from his bull and gored in the back, he bled to death in a matter of minutes. Rodeo competitors are a special breed. Unlike many sports, they cling together in the best – and worst – of times. Traveling the long, lonely roads of the professional rodeo circuit, it’s ne
The Q&A with Guilherme Marchi, Professional Bull Rider defending world champion

JC: When did you first start riding?
GM: I started riding bulls at 15 years old because my older brother was a bull rider. My mom and my dad were scared. But it’s in my blood.
JC: Just tell your parents that you stay on the bulls now a lot more than you get bucked off.

GM: I engage a little bit, too, but not very good. (Laughs)
JC: So, you’ll be sticking with bull riding?
GM: Yeah, but soccer in Brazil is ve

Word of the Day: ULTIMAThule (5A: _____ Thule, distant unknown land) — Thule [...] is, in classical literature, a place, usually an island. Ancient European descriptions and maps locate it either in the far north, often Iceland, possibly the Orkney Islands or Shetland Islands or Scandinavia, or in the Late Middle Ages and Renaissance Iceland or Greenland. Another suggested location is Saaremaa in the Baltic Sea.
Ultima Thule in medieval geographies may also denote any distant place located beyond the "borders of the known world." Some people use Ultima Thule as the Latin name for Greenland when Thule is used for Iceland. (wikipedia)

I thought add-a-letter themes were on Brendan's list of "10 Bullshit Themes," but no. That's good, because while "add-a-letter" puzzles can be dreadful, they don't have to be, as this one proves. Simple concept (add "S" to the end) yields great theme results. That this puzzle is not any better than the aver
