WoW Gaming Laptop Advice

I’m not exactly a one-game Andy, but I mostly play WoW, with a little FFXIV, Magic Arena, indies, etc nothing too crazy intense. A couple years ago I bought a low-cost Asus gaming laptop and that turned out to be a mistake lol. WoW runs poorly on it, and it sounds like a chainsaw, on foremost of other niggling issues.
Anyone qualified to recommend a decent gaming laptop that plays WoW buttery smooth and is whisper quiet? My Mac actually fits this bill, but I can’t branch out into other PC games on my Mac.
EDIT: I don’t travel, but a desktop doesnt work for me. A desktop means I have to sequester myself from my family when I play games, so I like being able to whip out a laptop while on the couch while my wife and kid watch a production or something.

Unless you commute around a lot I’d just recommend getting a good desktop. But if you are always mobile, I got my son a nice Alienware laptop that played pretty much whatever he threw at it. I understand they’re a bit more overpriced for the brand, but it worked good for what he played.
