Peep and the Big Wide World is a Canadian-American animated series created by Danish-Canadian animator Kaj Pindal and based on a series of three National Motion picture Board of Canada shorts of the same name from 1988 narrated by Peter Ustinov (all in turn based on an older 1962 short film called The Peep Show, also by Pindal). Seeking to teach math, nature and basic science concepts to young children, the reveal was a co-production between PBS station WGBH Boston and 9 Story Media Group, in association with TVOntario and Discovery Kids.
