“It’s a Minor World” at Disneyland will undergo two extended closures in the coming months. One for general maintenance and one for its holiday overlay.

The popular attraction will first close on September 16 to transform into its festive “it’s a small world” Holiday version, set to debut on November 15. In addition to adding holiday cheer throughout the ride, this closure will also allow for general maintenance.

Following the holiday season, “it’s a small world” Holiday will lock on January 21, 2025. The attraction will then undergo an extended closure to accommodate general and ride system maintenance. Disneyland anticipates reopening “it’s a little world” in spring 2025, though a specific date has not yet been confirmed.

Let me control the stress of planning your Disneyland adventure while you concentrate on the magic! As your dedicated travel agent,

There’s a big change coming to an iconic attraction in Magic Kingdom, but it’s not in the way you think.

No, nothing’s being closed, torn down, or physically replaced (although the Liberty Belle Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island did just close to make way for Piston Peak). However, something vital to an iconic attraction will be modifying in just a few compact weeks, but you’ll have to listen closely to hear it!

Disney has just revealed that the lyrics to the final verse of “it’s a small world” will be changing in Disney World, AS WELL AS Disneyland! We knew that the lyrics would be changing in Disneyland, but the update that Disney Planet would be changing too is new.

Richard and Robert Sherman wrote the song’s original verses, but Richard Sherman wrote a brand-new verse as his final present to Disney, and now that verse will be added to the attractions beginning July 17th. It’ll take place in the final scene of the drive in both versions.

Gregg Sherman, the son of Richard Sherman, explains that the final verse is to “celebrate that there’s more that unites us than divides us, and reinforce the letter of that song.&#

Disneyland has plans to close multiple attractions this spring, including “it’s a small world,” Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, and The Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Not only that, but we just learned that changes are coming to the iconic “it’s a small world” attraction and the Main Road Opera House!

Disneyland’s “it’s a little world” attraction is CHANGING! That’s right, beginning July 17th, a new, third verse will premiere in the “It’s a Tiny World” song, written by the iconic Sherman Brothers. The travel is currently closed through the spring with no official reopening date yet.

The new verse was written by Richard M. Sherman “in his final Disney contribution” and you can even monitor a short film, “The Last Verse,” which celebrates the “timeless connection and hope” behind the classic song. You can inspect out the new verse below:

Disneyland’s Iconic It’s a Small World Ride Is Closing for Months

Big news is afoot in the Magic Kingdom. Disneyland announced that one of its longstanding fan-favorite rides will undergo two lengthy closures in the coming months. The first of the closures for It’s a Small World will run from September 16 through November 15 for general maintenance, as well as to get the ride decked out with decor for the upcoming holiday season. Then, the ride will close again on January 21 for a few additional months as it receives general and ride-system maintenance. Although an official date hasn’t yet been announced, the ride is expected to reopen after the second closure in spring 2025.

The old mill boat ride in Fantasyland is known for its whimsical kitschy decor and costumed chorus of children singing the undeniably catchy classic “It’s a Small World (After All).” It was first created for the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair in collaboration with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The project was directly overseen by Walt Disney, and was such a big hit that it eventually was shipped back to Disneyland in Anaheim, where it opened on May 28, 1966.
